Meet the Instructors
Douglas and Yuri Villefort bring unparalleled expertise and a deep family legacy in martial arts to the MAI Program:

• Douglas Villefort: A seasoned competitor in muay thai in Brazil and Thailand, Douglas has trained professional fighters in premier promotions like UFC, WEC, and Bellator, making him a trusted striking coach and sparring partner.

• Yuri Villefort: A professional mixed martial artist since 2009, Yuri has competed at the highest levels, including the UFC and Strikeforce, in the Welterweight division.

The Villefort brothers honor the legacy of their father, Francisco “Indio” Pereira da Silva, a vale tudo pioneer and jiu-jitsu black belt under the legendary Pedro Hemeterio. His influence, resilience, and dedication inspire every class taught in the program.
